The effect of safety awareness on leisure attitudes and leisure functions of ski resort users

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the influence of ski resort users' awareness of safety on leisure attitudes and leisure functions. To achieve this goal, a total of 286 copies of data were collected from passengers by selecting three ski resorts in Gangwon-do Province using weekdays and holidays, except for the period when the ski resort was temporarily closed due to the third stage of social distancing between December 2020 and February 2021. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS (Win. Ver. 21) statistical program and the following conclusions were reached. First, among the subfactors of safety awareness, the trust relationship had a significant positive effect on all the subfactors of leisure attitudes, and importance had a significant positive effect on cognitive and behavioral attitude factors. Second, among the sub-factors of safety awareness, interest had a significant (+) effect on leisure control, leisure confidence, and leisure interest, and trust relationships had a significant (+) effect on leisure control and importance had a significant (+) effect on leisure. Third, among the sub-factors of leisure attitudes, cognitive attitudes influenced leisure control, leisure confidence, and leisure, emotional attitudes influenced leisure confidence, leisure psychology, and behavioral attitudes influenced all sub-factors of leisure.
