Examination of the Validity of Korean Version of Adolescent Playfulness Questionnaire

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the validity of Korean version of adolescent playfulness questionnaire. For the purpose 1886 adolescents completed questionnaires measuring playfulness, openness, and extroversion. After omitting 77 irregular responses, 1809 completed questionnaires were used for descriptive analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlational analysis, and validity examinations. After exploratory factor analysis, 5 factors 20 items of Korean version of adolescent playfulness items changed to 4 factors 17 items. After confirmatory factor analysis, 4 factors 17 items of Korean version of adolescent playfulness items changed to 4 factors 15 items. The 4 factors 15 items of Korean version of adolescent playfulness items were validated for content validity, criterion validity, convergent validity, and construct validity. This study is the first study to examine the validity of Korean version of adolescent, and in the discussion section. practical and conceptual implications are provided.
