스쿠버다이빙 참여자의 기후변화 위험인식이 환경태도 및 친환경행동에 미치는 영향
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of climate change risk perception on environmental attitudes and pro-environmental behavior, and the effects of environmental attitudes on pro-environmental behavior among scuba diving participants. Data were collected through an online survey of adult scuba diving participants from July to August 2026. Of 166 responses, 161 valid responses were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 through frequency, exploratory factor, reliability, correlation, simple regression, and multiple regression analyses. The results were as follows. First, climate change risk perception had a significant positive effect on ecocentric environmental attitudes, but not on anthropocentric environmental attitudes. Second, climate change risk perception had significant positive effects on environmental citizenship and conservation lifestyle behaviors, but not on social environmentalism and nature conservation behavior. Third, evnironmental attitudes had significant positive effects on environmental citizenship, but not on the combined social environmentalism and nature conservation behavior factor or conservation lifestyle behaviors. These findings suggest that climate change risk perception and environmental attitudes do not uniformly affect dimensions of pro-environmental behavior among scuba diving participants. Climate change risk perception was particularly associated with ecocentric environmental attitudes and environmental citizenship. These findings highlight the need for environmental education and practical opportunities to promote pro-environmental behavior in nature-based leisure sports. Future research should examine these relationships across various nature-based leisure sports and identify factors that facilitate actual pro-environmental behavior.
