A Study on the Development of Leisure Sports Human Resources Development

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the conditions of leisure sports in Korea and to present developmental measures to foster leisure sports talents at junior colleges to promote leisure sports based on analysis of departments related to leisure sports. To this end, related data on each study were collected through literature analysis of prior research data, and the development plan for fostering leisure sports talents to promote leisure sports is as follows through analysis of leisure sports activities and industrial conditions and case analysis related to leisure sports at 10 major universities in Korea. First, establish a mid- to long-term plan to foster leisure sports talent. Second, a consultative body composed of universities, industries, local governments, and local sports councils is formed and operated to foster leisure sports talents. Third, a systematic and objective "common professional curriculum model" will be developed and distributed to foster leisure sports talents. Fourth, a career and employment DB is established and utilized to foster leisure sports talents. Fifth, strategic public relations on the necessity and importance of leisure sports should be promoted.
